Fresh from her stunning appearance at Trooping the Colour 2026, where she delighted fashion fans all over the world in her baby blue Catherine Walker coat dress, the Princess of Wales joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle on Monday afternoon.
The royal family stepped out at St George's Chapel to attend the annual Order of the Garter service. Kate, 44, delighted onlookers in her elegant outfit, which consisted of a glorious, midi-length butter-yellow coat dress, which was a custom Patrick McDowell design. The stylish ensemble featured a button-down front, oversized statement pockets and subtle embossed detail, which was visible as the style caught the light.
The mother of three donned a resplendent boater hat and wore her hair in a lightly waved style, with subtle touches of makeup highlighting her beautiful features.
She also wore her wedding earrings, which were designed by Robinson Pelham. The stunning drop styles were a gift from her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.
What is The Order of the Garter?
The Order of the Garter is the oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain, established by King Edward III nearly 700 years ago. The Order includes the King, who is Sovereign of the Garter, the Queen, several members of the royal family, and up to 24 companions chosen in recognition of their work. Companions of the Garter are chosen personally by the Sovereign to honour those who have held public office, who have contributed in a particular way to national life, or who have served the Sovereign personally.
Kate's best Order of the Garter outfits
In 2025, Kate attended the prestigious occasion at Windsor Castle in a pleated Self-Portrait dress she's previously worn on numerous occasions. Delicately hemmed with lace, the charming dress featured a traditional bouclé jacket on top to pull the look together. The royal teamed the ensemble with a saucer-style hat by Sean Barrett with pearl jewellery.
In 2022, the princess was a vision in blue, sporting an elegant coat dress by Alexander McQueen. She added a gorgeous Juliette Botterill hat trimmed with flowers and coordinating sapphire jewellery.
In 2019, Kate sported a shorter-than-expected coat dress by the fashion designer unanimously loved by the royal family, Catherine Walker.
The crisp white ensemble boasted an eye-catching black trim and a glamorous yet flattering fit-and-flare cut. Her hat was designed by Sylvia Fletcher for Lock & Co.
