There is no doubt about it, the Princess of Wales has been through a fashion evolution since she became engaged to Prince William in 2010.
The royal has always had a natural sense of style and an undeniable fashionable flair, but it has taken time to transform into the global fashion icon she is today, and a little bit of help from her former stylist, Natasha Archer.
Natasha worked at Kensington Palace, the hub of Prince William and Princess Kate's household, for 15 years, becoming Kate's right-hand woman and the creative force behind her best-loved ensembles.
The blonde professional famously stepped down from her role last year, before founding her own eponymous, bespoke advisory styling company.
Natasha headed to Royal Ascot on Tuesday and delighted onlookers with her lemon yellow gown by one of her former client's, Princess Kate's, most-worn designers, Alessandra Rich.
Natasha wore the brand's 'Silk Double-Breasted Midi Dress,' which costs £1,535 and is part of the label's current collection. The ensemble features Alessandra Rich's instantly recognisable, iconic oversized white collar, as well as a charming floral motif and a statement double-breasted fastening. The 1940s-inspired style also boasted a sweet, waist-defining belt.
Choosing brands that Princess Kate also loves for her landmark accessories, Natasha chose a straw boater hat by Jane Taylor, and shoes and a bag by Jennifer Chamandi.
"Royal Ascot 2026," she penned in the caption. "A glorious day with @garrard at one of my favourite events of the year. There is something so special about the tradition, elegance, and pageantry of Ascot."
Natasha's royal role
Speaking to The Telegraph earlier this year, Natasha revealed that she wasn't simply a "stylist". While the world was captivated by Kate's sartorial choices, Natasha was also busy handling details like her itinerary and managing projects.
"There are a lot of other things that came with my role and with what I'm offering now with my consultancy. I'm not a traditional stylist; I'm looking at everything. Even admin support. I feel like it's a unique talent that I can bring to specific people," she said of her new venture.
Reflecting on her time with the royal couple, she explained that it was "an extraordinary privilege and I hold it so close to my heart. I've made incredible friendships there, and I look back on my memories totally fondly, and I just feel really grateful to have had that opportunity," she revealed.
