Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands made a striking entrance at Prinsjesdag 2026, stepping out in an elegant, sweeping cape dress for one of the biggest events in the Dutch royal calendar

Marking the official opening of the new parliamentary year, the 22-year-old heir to the Dutch throne looked effortlessly statuesque in a dramatic, floor-length olive-green gown as she arrived at the Royal Theatre in The Hague.

The showstopping design featured a sleek, column silhouette elevated by sweeping cape sleeves that cascaded gracefully from her shoulders down to the floor.

Amalia paired the autumnal green dress with rich cognac-brown leather accessories, holding a structured envelope clutch adorned with a delicate bow motif and wearing matching pointed-toe pumps.

She completed the look with a thick gold headband nestled into her softly waved blonde locks, bold gold drop earrings, and her blue and orange royal sash.

Standing poised on the red carpet as she greeted the royal standard before the annual Speech from the Throne, the future Queen appeared to be in great spirits as she enjoyed the day's proceedings with her family.

King Willem-Alexander was seen in a formal black morning suit paired with a grey waistcoat, crisp white shirt and silver tie, while his wife, Queen Maxima, looked stunning in a sleek monochrome ensemble featuring a dark navy button-down shirt tucked into a high-waisted white skirt, styled with her royal sash and a small navy headpiece.
