"We were locked down together as we are again now during the spring and all that time it was just the two of us in a small cottage and wandering the woods.
"The New Forest is where we're going to be doing our bit for Winterwatch this year and Megs has obviously spent a lot of time here. We've connected in a way that we never had before and now we want to share those sort of experiences with our Winterwatch viewers."

Chris with stepdaughter, Megan
The beloved BBC show is back for a new series and no doubt it'll provide the perfect TV tonic that everyone needs. Chris and Megan also revealed what viewers can expect from the new episodes, detailing how they have been exploring areas of the New Forest near their home.
Megan told Holly and Phillip: "Gillian is down at the Cornish Beaver Trust, so she's going to be looking out at the different changes in Beavers, we looked at quite a lot of that in Springwatch.
Chris and Megan spoke to HELLO! exclusively last year
"Iolo is in mid Wales at the centre of alternative technology, so we'll be looking at the differences in those seasons in those locations, but it's nice to get a snapshot of what's going on around the UK, so we get to see little pockets of things."
When Megan made her debut on Springwatch last year, Chris told HELLO! at the time: "She did really well. I said to her: 'You figure out what you want to say and I'll fill in around you.'
"I don't need to own anything, I've got nothing to prove. I was there as a support mechanism, really, and wasn't needed. She believes in what she's got to say, she's excited by the science and committed to the environmental aspects of it."
