Angelina Jolie made the most of a break in filming to enjoy some sightseeing in Mumbai with partner Brad Pitt and their adopted children Maddox and Zahara over the weekend.

Strolling along the seafront promenade, Brad hoisted a sleepy looking Maddox onto his shoulders so he could get a better view, while 18-month-old Zahara got a lift from her famous mum. The couple's biological daughter, little five-month-old Shiloh Nouvel, didn't take part in the outing, though.

Last month the Tomb Raider actress was shooting scenes for her new movie A Mighty Heart in Pune, on the country's west coast. The production has now moved to the country's financial capital, where Angelina and her family have settled into the five-star Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. And on Sunday they emerged from the luxury hostelry to visit Mumbai's dramatic Gateway of India.

Built to commemorate the visit of Britain's George V and Queen Mary to the city in 1911 and completed in 1924, it is one of the city's best known landmarks. Angelina, who is playing the role of Marianne Pearl - wife of murdered American journalist Daniel Pearl - in her latest flick, was back to work the next day, however, filming alongside co-star Dan Futterman.
