American Dad! — Officially renewed
After 11 years on TBS, Seth MacFarlane's American Dad! returned to its original home of Fox in 2025, where it was confirmed for another four years, through the 2028-29 season.
"This new deal celebrates the eternal popularity of these iconic comedies, as well as the enduring, prolific relationship we continue to enjoy with our friends at 20th Television Animation and the brilliant creators – that goes double for Seth this time around — and incredible voices behind these contemporary classics," said Michael Thorn, president of Fox Television Network at the time.
Inspired by the 2000 US election, the animated series follows CIA agent Stan Smith, who is painfully dedicated to homeland security while also doting on his family – ditzy wife Francine, liberal daughter Hayley, and socially awkward teenage son Steve.

Premiering in 2023, Animal Control, starring Joel McHale, was an instant hit for Fox.
Joel stars as Frank, an opinionated and eccentric animal control officer, and his municipal animal control colleagues, out of an office in Seattle. Vella Lovell and Michael Rowland also star.
The series has remained a solid performer – it is now Fox’s longest-running live-action sitcom – and has generally favorable reviews.
"With the writing, ensemble, and audience response all landing at new levels, renewing Animal Control was an easy decision," said Thorn.

Fox's adaptation of the UK's hit series Doc Martin has drawn a mixed critical response, but continues to reach over 10 million multi-platform viewers.
Starring Josh Charles and Abigail Spencer, Best Medicine follows a brilliant surgeon – Dr Martin Best – who leaves his acclaimed career in Boston to become the general practitioner in the small East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a child. But despite Martin's blunt, and at times frankly rude, bedside manner, he keeps finding himself dragged into the middle of the local community's feuds and frolics.
"Best Medicine quickly became a breakout for us this season, blending sharp humor with real heart," said Michael Thorn, President of Fox Television Network. "Liz Tuccillo brings a distinctive creative voice to the series, and Josh Charles leads an exceptional cast that audiences have embraced. We, along with Propagate, are excited to build on that momentum in Season Two."

Bob's Burgers — Officially renewed
Along with American Dad! and Family Guy, Bob's Burgers was renewed in 2025 for another four years.
The show had a rough couple of years but found its rhythm and is now an animated classic. It has won the Emmys Award for Outstanding Animated Program multiple times, and has shown remarkable staying power, with a significant portion of its 1 million-plus audience coming via streaming.
"The longevity of this agreement reaffirms our commitment to the successful partnership we’ve built with the incredible team at Disney," said Rob Wade, CEO of Fox Entertainment.
"This collaboration has and will continue to generate meaningful long-term value and strategically build audiences from Fox to Hulu to fans worldwide."

Fox officially renewed the medical drama Doc for a third season earlier in 2026, and gave it a full 22-episode order, a rare moment for TV shows in this landscape.
"Doc has become a true breakout for Fox, delivering our largest scripted multiplatform audience of the season and building remarkable momentum across Fox, Hulu, Netflix, and internationally — earning it another 22-episode order," said Thorn.

Family Guy — Officially renewed
The Griffin family will remain on TV screens until at least the 2028–29 television season after Fox renewed the animation for another four years in 2025; Family Guy remains one of Fox's most-streamed titles, picking up over 42 billion minutes viewed in 2024.
"This historic four-season order from our longtime partners at Fox is truly monumental for these iconic animated series," said Marci Proietto, head of 20th Television Animation.
Another Seth MacFarlane-led comedy, the politically-incorrect series follows the bumbling and ignorant dad Peter, his stay-at-home wife Lois, and their three children: Meg, their bullied teenage daughter; Chris, their awkward teenage son; and Stewie, their adult-mannered infant son who, despite his age, uses stereotypical archvillain phrases.
Seth Green, Mila Kunis, and Alex Borstein all lend their voices.

Going Dutch — Officially canceled
Dennis Leary's comedy was canceled at Fox after two seasons, consistently averaging under two million viewers with a 0.15 rating in the key 18-49 demographic.
The logline reads: "After an epically unfiltered rant, an arrogant, loudmouth U.S. Army Colonel is reassigned to the Netherlands, where he is punished with a command position at the least important army base in the world. Surrounded by a diverse group of underdogs, the colonel tries to reinstall military discipline and professionalism with the help of the base's previous interim leader, who just happens to be his estranged daughter."
The show aired its final episode on April 23.

The Great North — Officially canceled
Fox made the truly surprising decision to cancel The Great North in late 2025.
Despite season five ranking as Fox's lowest-watched scripted program, averaging roughly 532,000 viewers, the network has become known for their domination over animation, and fans were hopeful The Great North may be given the same support as shows such as Universal Basic Guys.
"We’re so grateful for everything Wendy, Lizzie, Loren, and the amazing cast and crew put into The Great North," said Thorn. "It’s difficult to say goodbye, but we’re thankful for the five hilarious seasons The Great North brought to the iconic Animation Domination lineup."
The comedy, which starred Will Forte, Jenny Slate, and Nick Offerman, followed the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family and single dad, Beef, who tries his best to keep his family close while they dream of other adventures, especially daughter Judy, whose imaginary friend is the singer Alanis Morissette, and who appears to her in the northern lights.

Krapopolis — Officially renewed
Fox has made Krapopolis a major priority, renewing the series for a further two seasons before it has even premiered in 2023.
It has since renewed the show through to 2027-2028, taking the series through to at least five seasons.
Set in mythical Ancient Greece, the series centers on a flawed family of humans, gods, and monsters that tries to run one of the world's first cities without killing each other.
It stars the likes of Hannah Waddingham, Richard Ayoade, and Matt Berry, with Hannah receiving Emmy nominations for her work as Deliria, one of the show's anti-heroes.

Patrick Dempsey's thriller Memory of a Killer has been renewed for a second season after the first season became a streaming hit on Hulu, which airs new episodes the day after the linear appearance on Fox.
On Hulu, the show regularly ranks in the streamer’s Daily Top 10, and the show also commands Fox’s largest streaming audience season-to-date, 1.4M P2+ across seven-day viewing.
The show follows a hitman leading a dangerous double life while losing his memory, and also stars Michael Imperioli.
"We’re thrilled Fox has renewed Memory of a Killer for a second season, a richly deserved renewal given the show’s great critical, creative, and commercial success," said Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. Television Group and WBD US Networks.

Murder in a Small Town — Officially renewed
The cozy crime thriller Murder in a Small Town will return for a third season after year-on-year ratings improved, and the show found an audience on streaming.
Fox executive Brooke Bowman said: "We love bringing this cozy and delightful mystery to Fox fans, and we’re thrilled Murder in a Small Town has continued to resonate with our audience. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Sepia Films and Future Shack on Season 3, alongside our exceptional cast led by Rossif Sutherland and Kristin Kreuk."
The OC's Peter Gallagher will join the cast in season three for the show, which is based on L.R Wright's series of books and follows former big city police officer Karl Alberg, who moves to the idyllic coastal town of Gibsons to become the new police chief.
"Unfortunately, the gentle paradise has more than its share of secrets, and Karl needs to call upon all the skills that made him a world-class detective in solving the murders that, even in this seemingly idyllic setting, continue to wash up on his shore".

The Simpsons — Officially renewed
Arguably the greatest and most influential animated comedy of all time, The Simpsons has been renewed by Fox through to 2028-2029, which will see the show enjoy a record-setting 40 seasons.
Having been on air for decades, the show's ratings have changed at the same time as viewership habits have changed; early seasons regularly pulled in more than 10 million viewers, while the show now averages around 1.5 linear viewers.
The Simpsons remains a core part of Fox's strategy, although the 2024-2025 season did see one major change that continues to reverberate today – after Disney acquired Fox, it was decided that only 18 of each season's 22 episodes would air on Fox, with four episodes held back and billed as "Disney+ specials," only available on the streamer.

Universal Basic Guys — Officially renewed
Universal Basic Guys rounds out Fox's animation lineup, and the show was renewed in 2025 through to the 2026-2027 season.
It has been poorly received by critics but has proven to be a massive linear ratings hit, largely thanks to Sunday Night Football being a regular lead-in for the show; one episode in November 2025 had over five million viewers, a remarkable feat for linear TV.
The show centers on "two brothers, Mark and Hank Hoagies ( both voiced by Adam Malamut), who lose their jobs to automation and are given $3,000 a month in a new basic income program. Now, they’re using their free time and free money to find purpose in a world where they’re no longer needed."
