It's been an incredible 2026 for Tom Holland and Zendaya, as they have tied the knot and starred in the biggest movie of the year, The Odyssey.
But things are only getting better, as their new Spider-Man movie, Brand New Day, made a record-breaking $72 million in previews, including Wednesday early access screenings.

Endgame, which also starred Tom as Spider-Man, went on to have an opening weekend record of $357 million domestically and an eye-watering $1.2 billion globally.
Brand New Day box office
Brand New Day is estimated to bring in as much as $280 million in its opening weekend, making it the second biggest opening weekend of all time.
Tom reprises his role as the titular hero in the film, set four years after the events of No Way Home.
© SonyNo Way Home concluded with Peter Parker deciding for the entire world to forget he is Spider-Man. In Brand New Day, Peter is now living without girlfriend MJ (Zendaya) or best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon), as a new villain (played by Sadie Sink) begins to take over New York City.
If it opens with more than $200 million domestically, it will become only the 10th movie ever to reach that feat: the others include four Marvel movies – the previous Spider-Man movie, No Way Home; Avengers: Infinity War; The Avengers; and Black Panther – and Star War Wars: The Force Awakens; Star Wars: The Last Jedi; Deadpool & Wolverine; and Jurassic World.
The Odyssey box office

That movie has grossed $334.1 million at the domestic box office in its first two weeks and has reached the $700 million mark globally, making it all but guaranteed to surpass $1 billion mark.
Tom and Zendaya's romance
The pair met in 2016 during the audition and screen-test process for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Rumors of a romance abounded immediately, but they did not confirm their relationship until 2021.

Wedding confirmation
During an interview in 2026 Tom confirmed the wedding while he criticized AI images circulating on the internet, alleging to be of their ceremony, noting that they were seen by his grandmother who was concerned she had missed the real ceremony.
After working together for almost a decade, and building a relationship off set, the pair now have a shorthand that Tom has called "perfect".
"[It's] that perfect thing when you're on set and a director will give you a note that maybe you don't agree with... it's just that like a familiar glance at each other," he shared.
© Getty ImagesDuring the Brand New Day press tour the pair have been more open about their romance, speaking about their life together, including three dogs, a Miniature Schnauzer named Noon, a Doberman Pinscher named Daphne and an adopted pocket bully they adopted in early 2026.
Tom also appeared on the online programme Celebrity Substitute, telling the kids that he loved to take Zendaya on dates all the time," calling it "his "favorite thing to do."
