Jennifer Aniston reveals her biggest beauty regret

With her enviable tresses and her fresh-faced glow, it's hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston has ever slipped up in her beauty regime. The former Friends star has revealed that if she could go back in time she would change one thing – protecting her skin from the sun.

"I gave myself a sun-tanning intervention a few years ago," Jennifer, 46, told People. "I was basically saying, 'Let's just quit while we're ahead.'"

"I was not great as a kid with sunscreen," she added. "That's one of my big regrets."

Jennifer Aniston revealed one of her tricks: "I drink water endlessly, like five bottles a day"

The California-born beauty, who is a brand ambassador for Aveeno, now uses the cosmetic brand's daily moisturiser with SPF15 to cover up.

But maintaining her radiant complexion is also down to another trick. "I drink water endlessly," said Jennifer. "Like five [bottles] a day. Now it's just such habit. There are so many lazy water drinkers!"

Last year the actress underwent a shock transformation for her role in Cake, the drama in which she played Claire, a woman who is fascinated by the suicide of another lady in her chronic pain group.

The Cake actress admitted that she is "less attached" to make-up now

"When I was filming Cake, I didn't wear any make-up," said Jennifer. "I was taken aback by how nervous I got about walking outside and knowing that there was probably going to be a whole group of photographers.

"But then I just let go and I didn't care. And over the next five weeks of shooting that, I really loved it. I wasn't attached [to make-up]. If anything, putting on make-up felt so weird."

When Jennifer's not making red-carpet appearances, the Hollywood sweetheart likes to keep her beauty regime simple and doesn't apply much make-up – something that her fiancé Justin Theroux "loves".

But when it comes to date night, Jennifer glams it up. "He likes it when I smoke up my eyes!" she said.
