Pamela Anderson has been relentlessly applauded by women all over the world ever since she declared that she was tired of her femme fatale persona created by the media and wanted to embrace her natural skin, sans makeup.
The mother of two was known for her bold '90s makeup look during her Baywatch reign, often stepping out in vampy, smoky eye makeup and frosted pink lipstick. She was heavily associated with fake eyelashes and an over-lined pout in particular; this pairing signified her beauty ethos at the time.
In 2023, the star of The Last Showgirl stepped out at Paris Fashion Week. At the Isabel Marant and Vivienne Westwood shows that year, all that could be seen on her face was a flick of mascara and a simple slick of natural gloss, a remarkable contrast to the famously sexy look she was known for.
So you can imagine her fans' surprise when she shared her latest video, in which she sported radiant, luminous skin and a set of fluttery fake eyelashes! Advertising the newest addition to her range, which appears to be a lip balm, Pamela lifted her glasses to reveal her new look. Fans were in support of the subtle change. "An absolute icon! We adore you!" one follower penned. Another added: "Timeless and elegant! Gorgeous beyond words."
Pamela Anderson's comments on her 'make-under'
That same year, Pamela told PEOPLE: "I don't do the 'no makeup makeup'. I do the 'no makeup'."
Speaking about accentuating what she has been naturally blessed with, the actress added, "I think people are starting to look more alike these days."
The former wife of rocker Tommy Lee added: "But that has a lot to do with AI, social media and filters. I just never want to get caught up in that trap. I wanted to jump off the crazy train, and just ... Well, I don't know if I've jumped off the crazy train. I still have fun, but I don't want to look like anybody else. I want to look like me," she remarked.
Pamela also spoke to ELLE and remarked that her no-makeup era made her feel empowered and free.
"I really feel powerful right now when everything's very pared down," she said. "I like to see my freckles. I like when my hair isn't done. I like just a really fresh face. I don't like those injections, and that doesn't work on me. I want to see what's going to happen."
