Jane Seymour has revealed the surprisingly simple eating habits she credits for maintaining her enviably slim figure at 75.

The former Bond girl stunned fans this week after sharing a radiant swimsuit photo from the backyard of her Malibu home, looking decades younger as she posed poolside in a low-cut pink bathing suit.

Showing off her toned arms, trim waist and glowing complexion, the actress looked effortlessly youthful in the Instagram snap.

But while fans rushed to praise her age-defying appearance, Jane has previously revealed that her wellness routine is actually far less extreme than many might expect.

The Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman star recently shared that she typically eats just one substantial meal a day, explaining that she prefers to enjoy a larger lunch rather than following restrictive diets.

“At lunch time I have a full meal because then I can really enjoy it,” she told Daily Mail, admitting she usually skips breakfast apart from a cup of coffee.

Jane revealed that fresh fish and vegetables make up much of her diet, with many greens coming directly from her own garden at her Malibu property.

“I love fish and vegetables, and grow many greens in my back yard which I love to use,” she explained.

Jane eats very healthily

Rather than depriving herself, the actress says she focuses on healthy foods she genuinely enjoys. Later in the day, she snacks on pistachios, hummus, cucumber and celery.

“I do love nuts,” she said. “I am a savory person, I like the salt.” Importantly, Jane insists she has never believed in strict dieting or punishing herself with food rules.

“People ask me if I have a cheat day with my diet and I respond that I am never on a diet, I just make good choices and stick with them,” she explained. “If you think you are on a diet, you will lose track, you will cheat. But if you find healthy foods you really love, that make you feel good, you never feel shorted.”

The actress has also steered clear of weight loss medications, instead relying on consistency, movement and moderation to maintain her health and energy levels.

“Being healthy just feels good, it keeps me going, it gives me energy,” she shared.

Exercise also plays an important role in Jane’s daily routine, although her approach is refreshingly gentle compared to many Hollywood fitness regimens. The former dancer prefers Pilates, yoga, stretching and ballet-inspired exercises over high-impact training, explaining that longevity matters more to her than intensity.

“At this age, I’m looking around me at all the people I know who run, and they’ve had knee replacements, hip replacements or shoulder replacements,” she previously said. Instead, she focuses on staying active through movement that feels sustainable.

“My body remembers its muscle tone,” Jane added. “It comes back pretty quickly.” The actress also recently opened up about the importance of daily movement for mental wellbeing as much as physical health.

“Movement is one of those things for me. Even 20 minutes a day can make such a difference physically and mentally,” she said. “It doesn’t have to be perfect or intense. I’m trying to focus on showing up, not overdoing it.”
