Stacey Dooley returned to The One Show studio on Monday evening, where she gushed over her baby daughter Minnie.

Describing her new tot as "the love of my life," the new mum - who welcomed her daughter with Strictly star Kevin Clifton back in January - had nothing but sweet things to say about motherhood.

"Honestly, it's like I'm the first woman to ever have a child," she told hosts Emma Willis and Jermaine Jenas. "I'm that dramatic! I'm just completely obsessed. I'm head over heels, she's magic."

Asked how she was doing after the birth, a beaming Stacey - who was on to promote her latest documentary, Ready For War - replied: "I'm good as gold and she is just a delight. I'm biased, aren't I? But she is just the love of my life and I'm just made up with her."

Stacey and Kevin announced their pregnancy news last August, and delighted fans when they welcomed their bundle of joy back earlier this year.

On Mother's Day, professional dancer Kevin paid the sweetest tribute to his family. In a heartwarming Instagram post, he shared: "The most wonderful mum to our daughter Minnie. Love you baby. Happy 1st Mother’s Day [red heart emoji, mouse emoji]."

Proud dad Kevin has also been vocal about how he is adjusting to fatherhood, recently admitting he felt guilty for spending time apart from them due to his work.

Appearing on BBC Morning Live, the star revealed: "I'm obsessed, I'm absolutely obsessed. We've just completely fallen in love with her. "I do feel a little bit guilty sometimes when I'm on the road. Like I miss them as they're obviously at home, but I do get a night's sleep."
