Lea Michele shares her secret for a flawless complexion

Whether she's hiking at Runyon Canyon or hitting the red carpet, Lea Michele continues to wow her fans with her radiant skin. Now the 29-year-old has shared her secret to a flawless complexion, including her skincare routine during her downtime.

Lea Michele has revealed her secret to great skin

"First and foremost, I don't wear make-up when I don't have to," she told WWD. "When I'm out and about with friends and family, I'm not pounding make-up on my face – I'll put on mascara and lip balm and go about my day."

She added: "I like to give my skin a chance to breathe when it needs to. I drink a ton of water and I always try to get a good night's sleep."

Lea explained that her hectic work schedule, which sees her travelling across the globe, can often wreak havoc on her skin, so she tries to minimise the damage by sticking to a "consistent" routine.

Lea is renowned for her radiant skin

"That's the first place I see my skin get affected – when I'm travelling on planes full of dry air," she admitted. "I treat my skin very delicately; I don't go to bed without washing my face; I'm consistent with my products."

As well as looking after her skin, Lea is renowned for regularly hitting the gym and working hard to stay in shape, often sharing sneak peeks of her workouts on Instagram with her three million followers.

It seems that cycling has become one of Lea's go-to workouts in recent months – the star has shared numerous photos of herself at Los Angeles hotspot SoulCycle. "Safe to say.. I'm OBSESSED!!!" she quipped in one caption, accompanying an image of herself mid-workout, beaming at the camera.
