On Saturday night, some of the biggest names in music gathered at London's O2 Arena for the 2023 Brit Awards

As expected the evening also proved itself to be a moment to revel in, not only the musical accolades, but also in the style stakes. After her sartorially savvy turn as Love Island presenter, we expected Maya Jama to drop a major ‘lewk’ and of course we weren’t wrong.

Maya wore Schiaparelli

The 28-year-old presenter donned a stunning black Schiaparelli gown for the occasion, embellished with gold detailing reminiscent of a rib-cage and leg bones. The skeleton-inspired look was crafted by the French couture maison’s creative director Daniel Roseberry. The designer studied at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology, which he left after two years to begin working at Thom Browne, the New York-based tailoring house.

Maya ran into her ex-boyfriend Stormzy at the event, who was one of the headline performers of the evening. The British rapper sang Hide & Seek during his set, a song that is believed to have been penned for his former flame, the pair dated for four years before breaking up back in 2019. On the night he was nominated for one of the evenings top prizes, Artist of The Year.

Comedian and TV presenter Mo Gilligan was back for his second time as the host of the show. As the evening's MC, Mo welcomed artists to the stage for some major performances and provided witty commentary throughout as the awards were handed throughout.

Most of the awards went to Harry Styles, who swept the board at this year's Brits. The former One Direction member won four awards in the biggest categories of the night: Song of the Year, Best Pop Act, Album of the Year and Artist of the Year.
