The TV star has herself covered during the heatwave

Loose Women star Andrea McLean has unveiled a new garden feature at her home in Surrey: a water sprinkler. The TV host took to Instagram to share a video of it in action, with a poll asking fans, "When are you officially too old to run through a sprinkler?," and the options for answers: "A) Now. You're a grown up. Get over yourself," and, "B) Never!." We are, of course, in the latter camp. Not least does a sprinkler make for an ideal way to cool down during this week's heatwave, it also looks good.

Besides a sprinkler for her lawn, Andrea has been working on improving the patio area in her garden. Earlier this month, she shared a photo of herself painting the decking with the caption, "Caught! The glamour of Sundays…" The space has light grey flooring and a white flower sleeper, which Andrea seemed to be touching up.

The patio leads to her porch, which Andrea has previously branded her "favourite place" in the home. In 2018, she shared a tour of the sheltered area when a fan asked to see it. Andrea wrote, "Here you go! This is for the lady who asked what my porch looks like as her husband has said she can have one too. I may have had some bubbles #porchlife #Friday #relaxing #stepawayfromthephonenow." It's furnished with an enormous egg chair with a grey cushioned back, several outdoor dining chairs, a cream sofa with a matching coffee table and a wooden rocking chair.

Between working from her laptop and practicing yoga, Andrea has spent most of her time during the coronavirus pandemic in the space. On Wednesday she revealed that, alongside her new water sprinkler, she has updated the porch with an enormous fan to help her keep cool during the heatwave.
