When he's not cooking up a storm in the kitchen, the gigantic gardens surrounding James Martin's countryside abode make for the perfect weekend retreat for the chef. The celebrity chef, who is engaged to personal trainer Kim Johnson, resides in an idyllic rural home in Hampshire that boasts seven bedrooms, a greenhouse, and never-ending gardens surrounding the property.
James films his popular ITV series, Saturday Kitchen, from the comfort of his home, which includes a green oasis in his backyard. The chef shared a rare look at a corner of his lush garden over the weekend, which he keeps in pristine condition. "Weekend in the garden might just be paying off!" the star captioned a photo of a dog sitting on the well-mowed lawn with a fire pit in the middle.
The chef has surrounded the space with manicured hedges and a paved walkway that appears to lead towards the fields and greenhouse in the background. James' fiancée Kim seemed to be focused on the pooch in the photo, commenting "Lola" with dog and red heart emojis. James also has a Cocker Spaniel named Cooper and a Lhasa Apso called Ralph.

James has called Hampshire home for more than a decade, and he apparently has "no plans to move".
"It's true I've been all over, but fields of Hampshire and England call me back," he told HELLO! in 2023. "I'm very happy where I am, my neighbours are great, it is a beautiful part of the world and I have no plans to move. If I get restless I get in my motorhome and off I go."
The chef also opened up about how he likes to unwind at his home. "I'm taking care of my diet more these days and eating regularly," he told us, adding that "walking my dogs, fishing and working in my garden" helps him to relax.

Kim seemed to confirm the news with a social media post which she captioned, "So proud of my fiancé," according to The Sun.
In February, Kim joined her beau on the red carpet at the TV Choice Awards, wearing what appeared to be a diamond engagement ring. Jewellery designer Jessica Flinn-Allen told HELLO! that the ring is a classic trilogy-style engagement ring with round brilliant-cut diamonds and looks to be set in platinum.
"Trilogy rings traditionally represent the past, present and future for the couple, and are a timeless choice for an engagement ring," she told us.
