It's been a little over a month now since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce said 'I do' at Madison Square Garden, and they are still enjoying their newlywed bubble by searching for their first marital home together. Reports from the Daily Mail have suggested that the couple are considering Montecito as a location to put down roots.
Montecito is well known for its A-list residents, including the likes of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey and Ariana Grande. The area's real estate market features large mansions with incredible views and maximum privacy, hence why it has an allure for high-profile people.
According to Zillow, the average price of a property in Montecito is $5,619,518 and with Taylor having a $2 billion net worth, we think their love nest will be a rather impressive multi-million dollar house.
Speaking to The Cut, Meghan Markle previously explained that they even had doubts they could afford the area. "We didn’t have jobs, so we just were not going to come and see this house. It wasn't possible. It’s like when I was younger and you're window shopping — it’s like, I don't want to go and look at all the things that I can't afford. That doesn’t feel good," the mother-of-two said.
Taylor already has a very impressive property portfolio, which is believed to be worth around $150 million. Her residences are situated in Rhode Island, New York and Nashville, to name a few. Travis, meanwhile, has a property in Kansas which will be very sentimental for the couple as it is where they got engaged.
Fairytale wedding with an eye-watering price tag
The world was invested with every dip-fed detail of Taylor's incredible wedding, which had a 1,000-person guest list including big names like Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Bradley Cooper and Dakota Johnson. In the past few weeks, details have emerged about how the magical day unfolded, including all of the lavish additions. Esther Lee, editorial director at The Knot Worldwide, shared with Page Six that the wedding likely racked up an eye-popping bill in the region of $20 million to $30 million, including millions allocated to security.
Will we ever get to see Taylor Swift's wedding?
Despite a whopping guest list, Taylor and Travis have managed to keep their big day largely secret, and no footage of the ceremony or reception has been released. Fans have speculated that the "Cruel Summer" singer may use the footage in a music video in the future, perhaps for a song written about her new husband. We certainly hope so!
