Crown Princess Mary's playful side came out during a visit to a sports academy in Qatar this week. The 44-year-old impressed onlookers as she kicked a football about – all the while wearing high heels – during a tour of the facility with her husband.
Despite her formal attire, mum-of-four Mary was happy to get stuck in, and at one point appeared to curtesy for the crowd as they laughed along with her.

Not to be outdone, Crown Prince Frederik, dressed in a suit and tie, showed off some tricky football skills of his own before the royal couple posed with staff members and players on the pitch at the Aspire Academy.
The couple were still in high spirits later that same day as they attended a gala at the Doha Museum of Islamic Art. Mary looked elegant and stylish in a bright watercolour print skirt, and a black top, accessorising with a pair of beautiful drop earrings, a magenta clutch bag and a big smile.

The royals were treated to a guided tour of the museum, before attending a formal dinner during which Frederik present the Diploma of the Danish Export Association & HRH Prince Henrik's Medal of Honour – awarded in recognition of an outstanding effort in promoting and marketing Danish products and services abroad.
It was the final night of Frederik and Mary's five-day tour of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Their visit concluded on 3 March following a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, H. H, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.

The couple will be looking forward to returning home to their four children; Prince Christian, 10, eight-year-old Princess Isabella and twins Vincent and Josephine.
Last month, the family celebrated the twins' fifth birthday, and royal watchers were treated to a series of official photos of the sweet siblings to mark the occasion.
One of the images was taken during the Christmas break in Australia by their proud mum Mary, who hails from Hobart, Tasmania.
While a photographer is usually hired to take pictures of the royals for official portraits, the royal decided that this year she would step behind the camera, just as she did for the twins' second birthday.
