The Queen appeared to have a stellar day at the Wimbledon Championships on Wednesday when she made her 2026 debut at the annual tournament.
However, as she arrived with her sister, Annabel Elliot, and made their way to their prime positions in the royal box to watch the Ladies' Single Quarterfinals between Marta Kostyuk and Jasmine Paolini, Deborah Jevans, the chair of All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, was forced to intervene.
As you see in the video above, Deborah is seen waving to guests of the royal box to encourage them to stand as the Queen enters, as is royal protocol.
In the clip, the former Chancellor of the Exchequer can be seen quickly responding to Deborah's wave, and other guests shortly following suit.
Then came another slight mishap as the former tennis player had to walk across the Queen and explain the seating arrangements, which can also be seen in the clip.
Queen Camilla's highly anticipated attendance
Queen Camilla made a highly anticipated royal arrival on day ten of the championships.
For her visit to SW19, the Queen wore a striking turquoise blue tunic dress by Anna Valentine featuring an elegant V-neckline.
The senior royal accessorised her look with a sentimental piece: a gold disc birthstone adorned with the initials of her five beloved grandchildren.
Camilla also called on one of her beloved jewellery brands, Van Kleef and Arpels, when it came to jewels for the occasion, slipping on the brand's Vintage Alhambra Yellow Gold Agate Bracelet as well as a pair of turquoise and diamond demi-parure earrings from her personal collection.
On her arm, Camilla carried the Celine Small Cabas Drawstring Cuir Triomphe Bag.
Royal watching at Wimbledon
So far, there has been a stellar turnout of royals at Wimbledon so far. On day four of the championships surprised tennis fans in the famous queue when she made a shock visit to the championships, where she chatted with spectators before watching British wildcard Arthur Fery.
Peter Phillips and his new wife, Harriet, were the picture of joy as they joined the Queen on day ten of the tournament. NHS nurse Harriet looked beautiful in a lime-green and pink dress for the occasion.
Zara Phillips also stepped out on day ten, with her husband Mike Tindall. The couple were seen in fits of laughter while watching the action with former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner and her husband Christian Horner.
The Duke of Kent and former President of the All England Club made an appearance at Wimbledon on day one of the championships, alongside Lady Susan Hussey, to watch reigning champion Jannik Sinner open play.
Meanwhile, Princess Diana's nieces, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer, have been multiple times this year already. The first joined HELLO! in our Emirates Suite on day two, and also attended on day three.
