Once described as Queen Elizabeth's “favourite grandchild”, Lady Louise Windsor has spent much of her childhood away from the spotlight, but in recent years has emerged as a poised young royal in her own right.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh's daughter recently finished her studies at St Andrews University, where she emerged with a "transformative" makeover, including a classic new haircut.
Last weekend, the 22-year-old was seen taking part in a carriage-driving competition in West Sussex, where she showed off her elegant new look, proving she is every inch a royal beauty.
Speaking exclusively to HELLO!, celebrity stylist Jay Birmingham said Louise's new cropped haircut made for a "transformative look" to mark the end of her time at university.
Lady Louise Windsor's 'grown up' hair cut
Jay said: "Once the bob was perceived as a more ‘grown-up’ cut, but those days are long gone. Whilst long hair will never go out of fashion, it simply isn’t reigning supreme anymore, as the younger generation begin to experiment with different lengths, textures and silhouettes."

Following in the footsteps of her mother, Sophie, who also recently had her hair cropped into a "princess bob", Louise's mane has also received a "tailored" makeover.
Tina said the cut "accentuates her high cheekbones and oval face shape, features and personal style." Both mother and daughter "look gorgeous with their new short haircuts, refreshing their look before the end of summer."
Last weekend, Louise showed off her new look at the Glebe Estate Carriage Driving Trials, which her boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp, attended.

She wore the cap alongside a white T-shirt and vibrant shorts ahead of the competition, before changing into a traditional tweed suit. Meanwhile, her boyfriend kept a low profile with a loose summer shirt and pair of sunglasses.
Lady Louise's relationship milestone
Louise recently celebrated a major milestone after Felix appeared on the Royal Family Instagram for the first time. Felix, who partnered up with Louise during their university studies, was pictured supporting his girlfriend as she accepted her Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
© Getty ImagesThe achievement means she follows in the footsteps of her father and grandfather, Prince Philip in obtaining the prestigious accolade. The ceremony, which was conducted by her father, Prince Edward, saw the young couple seated happily together.
Sara Howe, a carriage driving trainer who has previously seen Louise competing, told HELLO! that Louise and her "lad" are "just lovely", adding that he is "always very supportive" while allowing the royal to get on with the competition.
