Lady Louise Windsor has reached an incredible milestone - she has just officially graduated from the University of St Andrews!
The young royal posed in her official graduation photographs on Thursday, alongside her proud parents, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie.
The stunning portraits were taken at the University House following the ceremony. Louise, 22, looked the picture of elegance in the university's official hooded graduation gown and white shirt, with her parents standing on either side.
It has often been said that Sophie, 61, and her daughter look remarkably similar, with their blonde hair and pretty features. They have also been known to share clothes, and their special bond is paramount.
Lady Louise's new hair
And now, it appears that the pair have emulated each other with their hairstyles, too! Lady Louise has always sported long, slightly curled locks, and in these new photos, she appears to have had a blunt cut, with the wavy texture finishing just past her ears. This comes just one day after her mother stepped out with noticeably shorter hair.
Sophie opts for the royal chop
Kent-born Sophie is known for her gorgeous mane of blonde hair. Although she has admittedly sported a bob before, for the last decade at least, her tresses have been shoulder-length.
So it was quite the surprise on Wednesday, when the royal debuted a considerably shorter style, with her new, modern bob finishing above her collarbone. Stepping out at the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival at Lannock Farm, her fresh blonde hair had a visibly lighter hue, and the ends were trimmed to perfection.
Why you should cut your hair into a bob
If you have fine hair, a bob is the ideal style to opt for, because shorter lengths instantly make hair look thicker. Blunt edges, like Sophie's new 'do, are especially effective, as they create the illusion of density.
"At the age of 50-plus, a bob can bring instant freshness as it removes tired, damaged ends, lifts the face, and creates a sense of movement that longer, heavier hair sometimes lacks," celebrity hairdresser Jason Collier previously told HELLO!. "It's also a cut that works brilliantly with natural silver tones, adding shine and definition."
