Prince William made a valiant appearance at the funeral of King Harald V on Wednesday alongside his aunt, Princess Anne, in Norway.
But there was one interaction we found particularly sweet, and that was between his fellow heir to the throne, Princess Ingrid Alexandra.
Following the funeral procession and balcony appearance in Oslo, William and Anne were among royals and state officials welcomed to personally share their condolences with the Norwegian royal family.
After approaching Princess Ingrid Alexandra, William gave her a kiss on the cheek.
The royal pressures on both of their shoulders are remarkably similar, both being first in line to their respective thrones.
Meanwhile, Princess Anne was also seen sweetly comforting King Haakon, who is her godson.
William and Anne's united appearance
It was confirmed on Saturday that Prince William and Princess Anne would be representing Britain at the state funeral. HELLO! understands that William will be representing King Charles at the funeral, with the sovereign typically not attending the funerals of other heads of state.
Meanwhile, Anne appeared in a personal capacity as the godmother of King Haakon.
The British royals joined the procession behind King Harald's coffin to Oslo Cathedral.

The Dutch royals were led by Queen Maxima and King Willem-Alexander, as well as their daughter Princess Amalia.
