The Princess of Wales was a vision in a resplendent purple gown on Tuesday evening as she sashayed into the Digger premiere in London alongside her husband, Prince William. The pair were reunited with actor Tom Cruise, who stars in the film, and he looked absolutely thrilled to have the royals in attendance, grinning by their side.
One stand-out moment from the night was when Tom was the ultimate gentleman once again, helping Kate down the stairs by holding her hand, just as he did at the Top Gun: Maverick premiere years prior, in 2022.
© Getty Images for Warner Bros.However, what you may have missed is the royal's kind gesture that saved Tom from his blushes, as when he went to grab her hand, he realised her clutch bag was in the way, but Kate expertly switched her bag to the other hand in a flash, allowing Tom to carry out his chivalrous gesture with ease. This meant that Tom had his Prince Charming moment in the limelight to see and Princess Kate was prevented from any nasty slips - a win, win!
Before the royals arrived at the event, Tom had gushed to the press about the couple. He said: "I just love them. They are lovely people and I have great respect for them."

Later in the evening, the 44-year-old was seen carrying her own train up the stairs and readjusting it for the press. There was even a hair-raising moment when an unsuspecting lady accidentally stood on the Princess' dress. The royal remained totally unfazed, said: "That's fine," and carried on with a smile on her face.
Kate's beautiful Jenny Packham gown was paired with incredibly sentimental jewels - the Queen Mother's Amethyst Sautoir Necklace featuring a heart pendant - a piece rarely taken out of the royal vault as well as Princess Diana's Collingwood Pearl Drop earrings.

She told HELLO!: "It’s the opposite of the minimal, barely-there makeup that has dominated for the past few years. We've seen a lot more of this, most recently at London Fashion Week, with the return of eyeliner, stronger eyeshadow looks, lots of mascara, and statement lips."
