Princess Kate leads an incredibly busy life, what with her roles as a wife, a mother of three, and the future Queen of England, so it comes as no surprise that the 44-year-old has some moments of forgetfulness.

Kate joined the team at West Sussex Minibus on Wednesday in Pulborough, in an effort to shine a light on the community transport organisation that helps people in the area with mobility challenges who would otherwise struggle to travel.

The Princess hopped in the minibus to pick up 94-year-old Stella Drewett from her home, before taking a seat next to her in the vehicle and sharing a friendly conversation.

During their chat, Kate joked that there was one thing she could never remember to bring with her on outings like this. "Everyone always runs after me [shouting], 'You forgot your handbag,'" the brunette beauty laughed.

The mother of three admitted that she was always forgetting her handbag

Her handbag is not the only thing that Kate struggles to keep track of; she previously shared with podcaster Giovanna Fletcher that she was always losing her phone.

"She told me that she was notoriously bad at keeping an eye on her phone," Giovanna told The Times. "She always loses her phone. All of her Christmas presents that year were related to her keeping track of her phone. It was all about her not losing her phone."

Kate's forgetfulness was likely a side effect of the chemotherapy treatment she received amid her cancer battle in 2024.

One of the most difficult cognitive changes that she dealt with during this time was her inability to focus, as she shared during a visit to The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in June 2026.

"I don't know about you, but I didn't have the ability to read or really focus on anything," she told a patient.

"[Colouring] was my way of exploring interesting things and being able to do something that did not require an end product, or an end finished piece," she added. "[It was] just a way of playing and losing yourself."

Kate announced she was in remission in January 2025 on social media, less than a year after revealing her diagnosis to the world.

"I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year," she began.

"My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn't have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional."

Kate continued: "It is a relief to now be in remission, and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support."
