Prince William made one royal fan's birthday dreams come true on Tuesday with an interaction that "made her day".
The Prince of Wales, 44, was in Somerset to launch a new project with the National Emergencies Trust, and met locals in the town of Ilminster.
He met members of the Ilminster Resilience Group, which has supported residents during severe flooding, and visited Sweet Surprise, a cafe providing opportunities for adults with learning disabilities.
Among those who had turned out to meet him were Jamila Akhtar, who was celebrating her 80th birthday, and her daughter Banah Brook, who had an "emotional" conversation with the royal.
Jamila told local outlet Bridgwater Mercury she had waited "80 years" to meet a member of the royal family, and cried tears of happiness after their conversation.
Banah told media: "This is my mum Jamila and today is her 80th birthday, and she has waited 80 years to meet any member of the royal family, so today both of us feel quite emotional, and my mum has been super brave walking here.
"We have been waiting an hour and a half; Mum took an hour to actually walk, at a very snail's pace, but today is a very special day for us. He truly made our day."
William stopped to chat with Jamila, bending down to shake her hands and wish her a happy 80th birthday, before asking if she had cake and candles.
Prince William coos over a baby
Another adorable interaction on Tuesday saw William meet a four-week-old baby and offer up some parenting advice.
The Prince shares children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis with his wife, Princess Catherine.
William could be seen meeting the tiny newborn, and he asked, "How old?"
When the mum replied, "Four weeks," he exclaimed, "Four weeks!"
When they talked about how the baby was sleeping, William offered up some wise words of wisdom, jokingly instructing the mother: "Don't move!"
Prince William's visit to Somerset
During the visit, the Prince launched the Ready Together project, providing communities across the UK with practical guidance to help them prepare for and respond to emergencies.
Earlier in the day, William came face to face with Celebrity Traitors star Ross Kemp, and tried in vain to quiz him for spoilers.
Speaking to a group of young people in Ilminster, William joked: “I’m going to get the answer.
"Do you watch The Traitors? I’m going to get the answer to what happens, and I am going to tell you all later.
"Spoiler alert today… he’s here…"
The Prince and Princess of Wales are believed to be fans of The Celebrity Traitors, which is currently airing a second season on the BBC.
Last year, the Prince told TV executive Stephen Lambert, whose production company makes the show, that his family was looking forward to watching the first series.
