LeAnn Rimes announced on Saturday, May 2 that she was forced to cancel several shows due to Covid and "severe laryngitis." The 43-year-old singer's heart was broken when she shared the news with her 1.1 million Instagram followers.

But, she seems to be on the mend. On Wednesday, May 6, LeAnn posted a video of her singing her 1998 hit song "Commitment." She captioned the video: "Still working my way through voice rest trying to get myself back to health as quickly as possible but couldn't let the 'sitting on top of the world' anniversary pass by."

"I know this is one of your favorites that I haven't played in a while," LeAnn continued. "Here's a little peek into rehearsals as we reworked and reimagined this gem. Hoping to add it to the setlist when I can get back out on the road."

LeAnn Rimes' health troubles

In January, the country music star revealed she had undergone a procedure to "clean" her blood of mold and microplastics.

"I demand so much from my body and it's incredibly important to me to take the best care of it I possibly can," she explained to fans at the time.

LeAnn, who raises stepchildren Mason, 22, and Jake, 18, with her husband Eddie Cibrian, booked into the Next Health medical clinic in Nashville for the unusual treatment, which costs up to $45,000.

The procedure, often referred to as a form of therapeutic apheresis, removes the liquid portion of blood, filtering out toxins, antibodies, and inflammatory agents and subsequently replacing it with fresh plasma.

It’s been a tricky time for poor LeAnn, who was left alarmed when her dental bridge fell out mid-performance last year. The incident occurred at the Skagit Valley Casino & Resort in Bow, Washington.

She said on Instagram at the time: "We're going to do a little story time about how the show must go on. And this is the most epic example of how the show must go on.

"So last night, I was on stage in the middle of One Way Ticket. I feel something pop in my mouth. And if you've been around, you know I've had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front. It fell out in the middle of my song last night."
