Margot Robbie proved her fashion prowess on the red carpet on Tuesday while attending the opening night of 1536 on the West End. The Australian star's McQueen look was both grungy and polished, with her military-style jacket stealing the spotlight.
The black jacket featured gold braiding on the chest and cuffs, and had a high neckline. She sported a simple black shirt underneath, and paired the look with low-rise black jeans, which showcased her toned midriff.
Margot added black heels, a black clutch and gold earrings to complete the outfit and wore her blonde locks in a half-up, half-down style. The Wuthering Heights star produced 1536 through her company, LuckyChap Entertainment, and revealed in a statement why the show was so meaningful to her.
"At LuckyChap, we're always drawn to bold, female-driven stories, and Ava's brilliant play is exactly that," she said. "We're absolutely thrilled to be coming on board as co-producers for its West End transfer."
"The show is fearless, witty and emotionally resonant, and it gives voice to women whose stories still feel timely today. Bringing 1536 to the West End is an incredibly exciting next chapter, and we're honored to help champion this phenomenal piece of art."
The play is set in Tudor England during King Henry VIII's marriage to Anne Boleyn, and follows three female friends as they navigate violence and life in rural England.
Also in attendance at the premiere, held at the Ambassador's Theatre, were a bevy of celebrities, including Lily Allen, Baz Luhrmann, Emma Corrin, Hayley Atwell, Jessie Ware and Simon Pegg.

Lily looked incredible in a black minidress under a black coat with an eye-catching green scarf, while Emma arrived in striped gray trousers, a white collared shirt and a bright red sweater. Hayley stunned in a black turtleneck and bouffant black skirt with scalloped edging and sheer white gauze layered underneath, and Jessie opted for wide-leg blue jeans, a simple white tee and an oversized black blazer.
Margot's appearance comes just months after she wrapped her Wuthering Heights press tour and garnered praise for her incredible tour wardrobe. The star is a proponent of method dressing, which involves an actor dressing in character-inspired clothing to bring a film to life and promote their project.
The mother of one headed the trend with her Barbie press tour in 2023, where she would recreate classic Barbie outfits alongside her stylist, Andrew Mukamal. Together, they created so many looks that they decided to put them into a lookbook titled Barbie: The World Tour.
"I had the idea when I was in one of the fittings with Margot," Andrew told Vogue. "I was collecting all these sketches and fabric swatches from designers, and I was like, 'Wow, all of this would make the most beautiful coffee-table book.'"
"We still had a bunch of looks that didn't get their moment," Margot added. "We were like, 'Oh, that's so sad.' But then Andrew found a way for them to have their moment." For her Wuthering Heights tour, Margot donned looks from Victoria Beckham, Alexander McQueen, Schiaparelli, Chanel, Thom Brown, Maison Margiela, Vivienne Westwood and Dilara Findikoglu.
