Dylan Dreyer is a doting mom to three young sons, Calvin, nine, Oliver, six, and Rusty, four, who she shares with ex-husband Brian Fichera.
The Today star often shares stories about her life as a parent, and even has a popular podcast, The Parent Chat, dedicated to the subject.
The children's author most recently opened up about an experience involving her children's nanny, which left fans praising her honesty - which can be viewed in the footage above.
Dylan was talking to Nanny Connie, a best-selling author and renowned childcare expert, who was a guest on the podcast. The star revealed that when her firstborn, Calvin, was a baby, he would often prefer his nanny over Dylan.
"I loved my nanny, she was with us from when Calvin was three months old. But I remember when Calvin was a baby, maybe like four or five months, and he would only want her."
Dylan admitted that she was home "a lot" but he still "preferred her". She asked Connie how parents can navigate this type of situation.
Nanny Connie was quick to tell Dylan: "Stop, stop judging that and be happy that happens. It would be really devastating if it was the opposite... the beauty of that is she's pouring into his growth and into his little nuclear, and lets you know things are firing right. And that's important."
