Ana Navarro has finally dropped the secret to her staggering weight loss after revealing she "lost the equivalent of a baby hippo."
The View host, 54, has looked noticeably slimmer in the last few years, previously claiming a wellness spa helped change her approach to her diet and fitness.
However, during the show on Tuesday, September 8, Ana revealed she had turned to the type 2 diabetes medication, Mounjaro, while watching a throwback clip of herself from 2022.
"Those were all pre-Mounjaro," she said, before joking: "We've lost the equivalent of a baby hippo on that stage."
In June 2023, Ana's slimmed-down physique had her followers convinced she had turned to Ozempic, but she said it was a Mexican wellness spa that changed her lifestyle.
"I spent time there learning to cook and eat healthier, reprogramming the way I think of my lifestyle, and being more active,” she said at the time, per People.
"We did all sorts of exercise classes for hours a day. When we came back to Miami, we were determined to continue some of our healthy habits."
Ana also turned to a nutritionist and a medical supervisor after learning she was pre-diabetic.
"So it's been a complete lifestyle change – except for the damn rosé and margaritas, which I can't give up," she shared.
"I am not equipped to give anyone advice or endorse any solution," Ana added. "We all have to figure out what works for each of us. It is a daily struggle for me. I still really like tequila and staying in bed with my poodle…"
The View hosts using GLP-1 medications
Ana's reference to a baby hippo may have been referring to her and her co-hosts' combined weight loss, as she's not the only member of the panel to use GLP-1 drugs.
Whoopi Goldberg revealed in March 2024 that she turned to Mounjaro to get her health back on track after tipping the scales at almost 300lbs while filming the movie Till in 2021.
"When I realized how much I had put on, because... I always felt like me. And then I saw me, and I thought, 'Oh, that's a lot of me,'" she quipped on the show.
"I had taken all those steroids, I was on all this stuff, and one of the things that's helped me drop the weight is the Mounjaro – that's what I use," Whoopi continued.
She added: "You have to take responsibility for yourself and see what's going on with your body, and there's nothing wrong [with taking weight loss drugs].
"Stuff happens, you hit a certain age, and everything falls to the ground, you know you just pick it up put it over the back and keep it moving."
Joy Behar also revealed on the show that she lost 25lbs by using weight-loss drugs, but she did not reveal which one.
Their co-star, Sunny Hostin, has also admitted to using Mounjaro in the past to lose 40lbs.
