Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos opened up about what the future of the marriage has in store for them – and it may come as a surprise. Mark admitted that he would indeed take care of his wife as she gets older during the September 16 episode of LIVE!

The couple discussed how Japan sets the record for the most people aged over 100. "88 percent of those 100-year-old people are women," revealed Mark, before he joked that he would be the one changing Kelly's diapers. The co-hosts shared how Japanese culture prioritizes healthier food and exercise.

"Would you like to live to 100?" Mark asked his wife. "It depends. I mean, here's the thing. I don't want to live to 100 if my quality of life isn't good. I want to have the longest life, but the highest quality of life. For as long as possible," explained Kelly.

"Like, if I had to change your diapers, would you like to be living to 100?" replied Mark. "No, Stop! Because...I don't...Here's the thing. You're not cut out for that, and neither am I," she said.

"I would change your diaper," reassured Mark. "No, no, no, no. You wouldn't. You couldn't. You'd be irritated," Kelly replied.

Mark then attempted to tease his wife. "Front to back? Front to back," he jokes. "You wouldn't be. You wouldn't be..." said Kelly.

LIVE! producer Michael Gelman then chimed in on the conversation. "You're a caregiver, Mark," he said. "I am a caregiver. You see me with Lena?" Mark said, referring to his dog.

"Yeah, no, you're great with Lena. I think that's where it ends. I actually think that's where it ends. It's where it begins and ends," concluded Kelly.
