Kelly Ripa always looks camera-ready. Whether she's clad in a silky blouse or opting for a playful polka-dot print, she knows how to serve true fashion mogul status on LIVE!.
The ABC host opened up about how she navigates her sartorial agenda for the hit show. Kelly shared that her stylist, Audrey Slater-Spiegel, knows how to dress her depending on the length of her leg hair. "[Audrey] also knows when I don't feel like shaving my leg, so that's a pants leg. She'll be like, 'What day of hair growth on your legs is this?'" she said.
Kelly also revealed the one fashion rule she refuses to follow on the show. "I don't follow that rule," she told People about the unspoken tradition of not wearing white after Labor Day. "I never follow that rule, I'm in white pants year-round."
© Disney via Getty ImagesMeanwhile, Mark Consuelos shared that his stylist, Esther Pak, typically opts for monochromatic pairings that experiment with his fashion sense. "She also pushes me into areas that I'm like, 'Really?' and she's like, 'Yeah, trust me,' and it always works," he said.
However, Kelly isn't immune to suffering an awkward wardrobe malfunction on the show. During the December 9 episode of LIVE!, Kelly was caught on air adjusting her outfit as the cameras began rolling.
Mark asked his wife, "Are you getting dressed?" "I’m still getting dressed," Kelly admitted. "Hey guys, I’m not going to lie, 10 seconds ago, I was not dressed at all. And now I'm sort of half-dressed." Mark then playfully attempted to steal a glance at his wife’s blouse while she was adjusting it. "Let me see, let me check you out," he said. "No no, I’m missing a lot of things. I’m missing a belt," replied Kelly.

Mark Consuelos' recent wardrobe malfunction
© ABCKelly couldn't resist teasing her husband, Mark Consuelos, over his outfit during an episode of LIVE! last week. The ABC host called out her partner's tight shirt as she playfully mocked him for his outfit. "Happy hump day everybody," began Kelly. "Speaking of hump day, my goodness. Look at you."
"I know, I think I took this from your wardrobe. It's a little tight. It fit a month ago," Mark replied, laughing. "Well, a month off will do that to a person. You look amazing, I'm not complaining. Not complaining, I just don't want to be hit with an FCC violation," replied Kelly.
Later in the show, Mark made another comment on his outfit. "By the way, this shirt is very tight. I'm looking at the monitor, oh my gosh," he said. "If you think those are tight, you should see the pants," added Kelly.
The host then recalled her initial reaction to seeing her husband's outfit before they went on-air. "When I came into the hallway and I saw you standing there, I was like, 'Oh no,' " Kelly said.

The conversation came after Live! with Kelly and Mark's summer hiatus. The hosts returned to the screen on the season 39 premiere episode on September 8 after a series of pre-recorded episodes throughout the summer.
"It is the first day of our 39th season!" Kelly said, after gracing the studio hand in hand with her husband. "This will be my 26th season. And, guys, more importantly, it is Mark's fourth season."
