Beyoncé's mom Tina Knowles, 72, is the proud grandmother to Blue Ivy Carter, 14, and twins Rumi Carter and Sir Carter, both nine, as well as Solange's son Daniel Julez J Smith Jr., 21.
The Matriarch author learned a thing or two from her little ones that she's incorporated into her personal life.
She revealed to British Vogue: "I think I've learned to laugh more and not to take myself so seriously because kids are so blunt. They just tell you the truth, and so you can't take yourself too seriously."
Tina added: "Kids are so innocent and they're so free and they've taught me to be free."

HELLO! exclusively spoke with Tina during the 2025 Angel Ball Gala in New York City and she revealed what she's really like as a grandmother.
She shared: "You know, I'm a really cool grandma. I pride myself on being a cool grandma."
Tina added: "Not all the time because that's not the results all the time."
Both Blue and Rumi joined Beyoncé on stage during her world tours, however, Sir hasn't been featured yet.
HELLO! inquired about whether or not Tina sees him joining his family onstage one day.
She revealed: "Sir is very laid back and not into the spotlight, so I don't know, but who knows? We'll see."
© InstagramDuring the interview with British Vogue, Tina showcased the positive influence her grandchildren have made on her to have more fun, as she made a joke and laughed to herself.
She shared: "My favorite joke is this joke about an older couple that's been together forever. And the husband one day decides to give his wife a tribute so he says, 'Honey, I just want to thank you for all the wonderful years that you've given me. And even when I was all grumpy and crabby, you would just go away and calm down and come back with this great attitude and so I just want to thank you, but where did you go?'"

Having childlike wonder isn't Tina's only secret to her undeniable glow at 72. The star also revealed to the outlet that she makes sure to prioritize herself, which helps maintain her youthful appearance.
She expressed: "[The secret is] taking really good care of myself. I get my facials. I exercise. I drink a lot of water and I try to do something good for the world every day and it resonates within me – kind of glows."
