Heidi Klum's youngest daughter, Lou, celebrated her 17th birthday on Friday, October 9. The German supermodel, 53, shares four children, Leni, 22, Henry, 21, Johan, 19, and Lou, with her ex-husband Seal and showed off Lou's transformation into a statuesque style muse in honor of her daughter's big day.
Heidi wrote on Instagram with photos of Lou over the years: "I love you so very much and I am so proud of you and everything you do. Where has all the time gone?"

Lou was born in 2009
Heidi and Seal welcomed their youngest daughter, Lou Sulola Samuel, together in 2009, five years before their eventual divorce. At the same time, Heidi became Barbie's official ambassador.

Lou loves Halloween
The supermodel throws an annual Halloween party, and like her mom, Lou loves the spooky holiday. "I was hoping that I would pass this on even to my kids, but out of four, there's only one that really is going for it and that's Lou," Heidi told People in 2021.

The 17-year-old is a dancer
While Heidi gained notoriety as a model, her youngest daughter seems to love dancing. In August 2021, the Project Runway host posted a video of Lou doing a hip-hop routine alongside famous choreographer Miguel Zárate to social media.

Lou and her siblings
As the youngest sibling, Lou enjoys spending time with her family. In the photos Heidi shared to Instagram was an adorable throwback of Leni feeding her newborn sister and beaming for the camera as she did.
The 17-year-old and her siblings understand their fame too. In October 2026, Lou spoke to British Vogue saying: "[Being in the spotlight is] just part of life for me and my siblings. But I feel like now that I’m actually going to a real fashion event and experiencing high fashion firsthand, I can somehow express myself more and officially show who I am, instead of just walking around and being photographed. That really means a lot to me."

Lou's looks so much like her mom
In a recent appearance at Paris Fashion Week, Lou transformed into a supermodel like her famous mom. Wearing a tie dye mini dress and her long, curly hair worn loose, the 17-year-old showed off her statuesque looks.
While it sure looks like Lou could hit the runways, and her big sister is a model, Heidi has strict rules in place. Leni was first approached by a modeling scout at the age of 12, however, her mom would not allow her to sign. It wasn't until Leni was 16 that Heidi gave her the green light to make her debut alongside her for Vogue Germany. And, in 2024, the supermodel responded to an Instagram comment that asked whether Lou wants to become a model saying: "She is only 14."
