Former 007 Timothy licensed for David Tennant's last Dr Who

Bond star Timothy Dalton will swap his tux for some futuristic apparel for an appearance in David Tennant's final episode as Dr Who.

The 63-year-old has been cast as the mysterious "Narrator" character in the two-part finale, marking the end of the Scotsman's tenure in the Tardis.

In 2010 unknown actor Matt Smith takes over as the Time Lord.

News that the secret operative will be seen in the Christmas special has captured the imagination of another 007 Roger Moore.

The suave octagenarian jokes: "If they ever want anyone to play his dad, I'm available".
