Antonio Banderas is apparently in talks to play Fidel Castro in new film Castro's Daughter.
The Spanish star is looking to step into the shoes of the Cuban leader in an upcoming biopic, based on Fidel's daughter Alina Fernandez's biography - Castro's Daughter: An Exile's Memory Of Cuba.
The movie, which is to be directed by English filmmaker Michael Radford will tell the story of Alina, who escaped Cuba as a Spanish tourist and later wrote her book detailing life in the country under her father's rule.
Filming is expected to take place in Puerto Rico.
Antonio - who was last seen in Pedro Almodovar's The Skin I Live In and Puss In Boots - next appears in Steven Soderbergh's Haywire alongside Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum and Gina Carano.
