Corrie actress Kym Marsh has opened up about her recent breast operation, saying going from a 34B to a D-cup has given her newfound confidence.

"It's something I always wanted to have done," says the 33-year-old, whose natural curves disappeared after she had children David 14, and 11-year-old Emily. "I've been self conscious about my breasts for a long time."

Kim told a British magazine that she decided on surgery after finding love again with Hollyoaks hunk Jamie Lomas following her divorce to former EastEnders star Jack Ryder, but stresses: "I wanted to do it for myself."

She adds: "It really has changed my life." The TV favourite is recovering from a difficult start to the year – her son Archie Jay died moments after he was born prematurely in February.
