Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski, who is currently detained in Switzerland has been "taken from prison for medical attention" in a Zurich hospital, his lawyer has revealed.
The lawyer, Herve Temine, says he does not know when Mr Polanski will return to prison, but that he was "worn out".
The 76-year-old director was arrested last month over his 1977 conviction for unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl.
A final decision on whether he will be released on bail is expected in the next few days.
