A burial vault above the final resting place of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe has sold at auction for £2.8m.
The grave, situated in LA's Westwood Village Memorial Park, had been advertised on eBay by the widow of the current occupier.
With bidding starting at $500,000, over 20 offers were received until the grave was finally purchased by an unidentified buyer.
The remains of her husband will be moved to a neighbouring plot to make room for the new occupant, says widow Elsie Poncher, who is selling to raise funds to pay off her mortgage.
