Currently in Los Angeles to record a new album, Latin pop star Enrique Iglesias emerged from the studios for a spot of retail therapy with his girlfriend Anna Kournikova over the weekend.
Both dressed casually and sporting cool shades, the popular young couple were snapped while exploring a clothes boutique. Enrique, who's the son of Spanish super-crooner Julio Iglesias, looked to be in sombre mood, but as he recently admitted in an interview with ¡HOLA! magazine, he can be "difficult" at times. He also paid tribute to Anna, 23, for putting up with him, as well as being beautiful and a great person.
But the 29-year-old was swift to squash wedding rumours, saying he doesn't think he's mature enough to cope with marriage or kids and pointing out that his career takes up most of his life at the moment.
Enrique is in LA this month recording his new album, due for release this autumn. He's written around 40 new tracks, which he explains will give him much more choice when it comes to making the final selection than the 14 or so he used to write for an album. His last album was 7, in 2003.
Anna, meanwhile, has also been off the scene for a while, having not played competitive tennis for a couple of years. But she has recently scored another personal achievement by settling a dispute with her parents, Sergei and Alla, over a $5-million Miami beachfront house.
They had sued her for money for their share of the seven-bedroom mansion, which they said she had taken over. Anna counter-claimed that she had paid for the house and therefore wanted her parents removed from the deeds. The settlement is confidential, but it's understood the house remains in the names of all three, and lawyers say everyone is now happy. |
