10 MARCH 2004
The tale of a pretty young Australian whose dream beau turned out to be a real-life prince seems perfect for a Hollywood movie. And now those following the romance of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and his Tasmanian-born fiancée Mary Donaldson can have the next best thing.

Frederik's romance with the PR professional, who he will wed this May, is told in a two-hour documentary which has just been released on both video and DVD. The film, entitled Mary, Frederik And The Monarchy, features first-person accounts, including interviews with the young couple, as well as family, friends and colleagues.

Also included in the video, priced at 200 kroner or 27 euros, is an inside look at the royal palace, with Queen Margrethe personally providing information on traditions and ceremonies of the court.
