Prince Pavlos of Greece and his wife Marie-Chantal have become parents for the fourth time. The couple welcomed a little boy at London's Portland Hospital on Friday afternoon.

"Crown Prince and Princess Pavlos of Greece are delighted to announce the birth of their fourth child, as yet unnamed, at 1.15pm on Friday," said a statement from the couple. "Mother and child are both doing fine."

The bundle of joy, who weighed in at a healthy 7lb 8oz, is a new brother for Maria-Olympia, aged eight, Constantine Alexios, five, and four-year-old Achileas Andreas.

The proud parents have always been open about their desire to have lots of children. "My wife and I think our role as parents is so important," the prince once said. "We have always dreamt of having a big family."

Crown Prince Pavlos is the eldest son of King Constantine of Greece. He met Marie-Chantal at a wedding in New Orleans in 1992 and the pair got engaged two years later. They were married in London, where they still live, in 1995.
