We don't often see bachelor Prince Albert of Monaco with a child in his arms, but the future sovereign was clearly delighted to give a cuddle to some of the youngsters he met during a lightning visit to an orphanage in Prague.
Grinning broadly, the 46-year-old royal chatted and played with children at the city's Krc orphanage, which he toured as part of his support for Czech model Tereza Maxova's charity foundation.
Although Albert does not have kids of his own, he was able to draw on his skills as an experienced uncle – his sisters Caroline and Stephanie have seven children between them, ranging from five to 20 in age – for the visit.
Accompanying him was Tereza herself, providing a familiar image of the prince with a lovely lady at his side. Tereza slipped her hand through his arm while they watched a catwalk show in benefit of her foundation, A Star Full Of Hopes, given by fellow Czech model Eva Herzigova. Proceeds go to the Krc orphanage.
Prince Albert has come under some pressure to marry and produce heirs, but he says that while he would like to marry, he is in no rush and being single is not a bar to him succeeding his father, Prince Rainier, as head of the principality. |
