Although his recent visit to Argentina ended in controversy, Prince Harry seems to have enjoyed the opportunity it offered to spend quality time with South African student Chelsy Davy. The third in line to the throne is apparently smitten with the 19-year-old blonde, and is understood to have invited her to join him at the El Remanso polo ranch outside of Buenos Aires.

According to reports, Harry spent much of his visit with the South African, who is regarded by insiders as the Prince's first true love. The young royal was said to be paranoid about trying to keep the relationship under wraps and he and Chelsy did their best not to be seen together outside the estate.

The daughter of a wealthy Zimbabwe game farm owner, Chelsy is believed to have met the 20-year-old when she was a pupil at Cheltenham Ladies’ College, which is located just up the road from his father's Highgrove estate. Romance is said to have blossomed earlier this year when Harry was working with AIDS patients in South Africa and made discreet weekend visits to see Chelsy in Cape Town.

The Prince, who begins army officer training at Sandhurst Military College in the New Year, returned from his working-holiday in Argentina on Friday amid reports he had been the target of an attempted kidnapping. Prince Charles has asked Scotland Yard to draw up a complete report on the circumstances surrounding his younger son's return.
