Queen Rania of Jordan has presented her husband with the ultimate birthday gift by giving birth to a new baby boy. The pretty royal welcomed their fourth child on Sunday, January 30, the same day that King Abdullah turned 43.
Little Prince Hashem made his grand debut at the Al Hussein Medical Centre in Amman. And if the newly-released photos of him and his parents are anything to go by, both mum and dad are overjoyed with their new arrival. The pictures show Abdullah and his wife, both smiling broadly, as they take turns holding the bundle of joy.
A statement released by the royal court confirmed that both Rania and the baby are in excellent health. Hashem is the couple's fourth child: they already have one son, Hussein, and two daughters Iman and Salma.
The newest member of the family shares his name with the Prophet Muhammad's grandfather and the founder of the Hashemite dynasty, to which the Jordanian monarch belongs.
