The Duchess of Cornwall has proved she can cha cha cha with the best of them.

Self-confessed "big big" Strictly Come Dancing fan Camilla took a twirl with the show's Craig Revel Horwood this week during a school visit in London.

And she really managed to impress the usually acerbic-tongued judge as the pair shimmied around the hall.

"Wow! I'd give her a ten. That was fantastic," said the choreographer who urged Prince Charles' wife to "show a bit of hip action" as they moved around together to a Latin track.

"Considering she's never had a lesson in her life she had a great natural rhythm. Her sense of timing was excellent and her footwork was spot on. And she has the personality for it."

"Good on her, I'd say."

It wasn't just the dance steps had Camilla mastered; she was also up-to-date with all the gossip from the show.

So she didn’t pass up the opportunity to discuss the latest controversy - Craig's comparing Jo Wood's dancing to a bush kangaroo - with the man himself.

"Oh, gosh you are in trouble, aren't you," sympathised the 62-year-old royal. "You really can't say anything without people jumping on you, you have to be so careful."

Camilla and Craig teamed up to mark National Osteoporosis Day which aims to emphasise the importance of eating well and regular exercise to help maintain healthy bones.
