JFK Jr.'s former chief of staff shares behind-the-scenes details of his meeting with Princess Diana
RoseMarie Terenzio was The Right Royal Podcast New York City edition's special guest, and during her conversation, she gave insight into what it was really like to arrange a meeting between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Princess Diana at The Carlyle, as the former wanted to feature her on the cover of his magazine George.
"I was terrified that we wouldn't be able to keep it secret," she shared, recalling how she had "come up with so many scenarios" for how to pull it off, even considering dressing both late icons in costumes to disguise them.
"We decided we were going to just walk right in," she said, though she did note they didn't want "the rumor started that they were having an affair or that something tawdry was going on."
RoseMarie further shared that Diana, then 34 years old, and John's interaction was warm and that she had "this sort of motherly tenderness towards him," and she moreover "felt for him and she felt empathy for his wife," Carolyn Bessette, though Diana ultimately declined to appear on the cover of George.
The year was 1995; Diana died at 36 two years later, in an August 1997 car crash, and John two years after that, in a July 1999 plane crash, when he was 38.
Prince William's 'completely unnoticed' jog in Central Park
During Prince William and Princess Kate's visit to New York City in 2023 for the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, per our Royal Editor Emily Nash on the Right Royal Podcast, the latter managed to go "completely unnoticed" during a jog in Central Park in the wee hours of the morning, accompanied by only a handful of security guards.
Princess Diana's visit to New York City
There were four notable trips Princess Diana made to New York City during the 1990s, once to attend the Fashion Designer Awards, another for an official royal visit, during which she attended a gala for the Welsh National Opera in Brooklyn, as well as for the Met Gala for a solo trip after her divorce from King Charles.
During one of the trips, as you'll listen in Right Royal Podcast's New York City episode, she enjoyed herself a bit of shopping, one of the only times she likely did so, and, unbelievably, traffic on Lexington Avenue, famously southwards, was flipped north just so she could get off on the right side of the car.
A Right Royal Podcast comes to New York City
HELLO!'s Right Royal Podcast is hosting a live podcast recording from New York City today at the Moxy Hotel in Chelsea, during which our Royal Editor Emily Nash digging deep into the British royal family's love affair with the Big Apple.
Prince Harry named one of TIME's 100 most influential people in sports
Prince Harry, who in 2014 founded the Invictus Games, a multi-sport event for wounded, injured and sick military service personnel, both serving and veterans, has been named one of TIME's 100 most influential people in sports.
Reflecting on his inspiration to create the event, Harry recalled the time in 2013 he lit the cauldron at the Warrior Games, a sports competition hosted by the U.S. Olympic Committee for wounded service members and veterans. "I thought, 'Wow, look at the power of sport, look at how it is literally changing lives in front of my very eyes,'" he said. "It was so clear to me. Let's invite as many countries as possible to make it international, because clearly more countries need to benefit from this."
"When you are wearing your nation's flag on your arm, on your chest, once that's removed, there's something that's missing,” he noted, adding: "What we've managed to achieve through Invictus over the years is not only to give people their purpose and their meaning back, but give them their identity back."
"Sport held me together," he then confessed. "I was one of those kids at school who did not enjoy classroom work. If it wasn't for the sports field, and the amount of sports that were on offer, there's no way I would have stayed in school."
Secret wedding guest
Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling invited many members of the royal family to their wedding, and it allowed fans rare glimpses of Lady Sarah Chatto and James, Earl of Wessex, among others. But it appears that there was another royal guest that flew under the radar.
Stephanie Phillips, the half-sister of Zara Tindall was in attendance was seen wearing a striking red and white dress ahead of Peter and Harriet's royal wedding, and her outfit was seemingly inspired by the royals.
Stephanie's 16-year age gap with Zara and 20-year gap with Peter have not stopped her from developing a close bond with the royals.
Mark's youngest daughter has had a special role at both of her half-siblings' weddings in the past. She acted as a flower girl at Zara's wedding to Mike Tindall in 2011 and Peter's wedding to his first wife, Autumn Kelly, in 2008
Inside Princess Anne and Autumn Kelly's relationship
On Saturday, royal watchers were enchanted by the latest royal wedding with Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips, walking down the aisle with NHS nurse Harriet Sperling.
Although his ex-wife, Autumn Kelly, wasn't among the guests at the nuptials, which was held in Kemble, Gloucestershire, she has such a strong bond with the Princess Royal.
Four years on from her divorce being finalised, Autumn joined her former mother-in-law at the 2025 Gatcombe Park Horse Trials.
At the time, royal photographer James Whatling told HELLO!: "Autumn was there, which was nice to see. She's obviously still part of the family and was chatting to Anne and everyone else. She's certainly not been ostracised in any way, and it was a nice little support team for Zara. They were all following her around to each section – dressage, showjumping etc."
Could Prince Harry be heading to the UK?
Trooping the Colour is this weekend, but one key member of the royal family has been absent for years: Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex hasn't been seen on the royal balcony since stepping down as a working royal.
Harry has missed plenty of royal events over the years, including Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's wedding. However, we've decided to delve into whether the royal could return to reunite with his family.
Either way, Harry will be returning to the UK next month for his upcoming Invitus Games, which will be held in Birmingham. The last games were held in Canada, where he stepped out alongside his wife Meghan. It is yet to be seen if Meghan will make the trip to the UK with her husband.
King Charles arrives for Grenadier Guards ceremony
The King has arrived for a special ceremony, where he presented the Grenadier Guards with their new coloursa. The ceremony took place four days before Trooping the Colour, the annual birthday celebration of the monarch. Royal fans won't have long to wait to see the new colours, as they are due to be debuted during Saturday's event.
The ceremony doesn't oly inclade the presentation of the new colours, but also features an Inspection of the Guard, alongside a small parade.
The service last happened in 2023, and at the time, Charles said: "It is some eighty-five years since a King’s Colour has been presented and, on such a special occasion, I particularly wanted to express my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you, as representatives from the three Services, for your loyal service over the course of her remarkable reign, to The late Queen who, I know, held you all in such high regard."
Charles became the new Colonel of the regiment following the death of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
Inside Peter Phillips and Harriet's private marital home
Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling tied the knot on 6 June in a spectacular royal wedding held in the Cotswolds village of Kemble.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to the Princess Anne's glorious countryside estate, Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire, where it's believed Peter and Harriet reside together.
The newlyweds reportedly have a cottage on the sprawling grounds, affording them privacy.
The wider estate, which is a grand total of 730 acres, boasts stunning woodlands and lakes. It also features paddocks and stables, which is no surprise given Princess Anne's love of horses. The estate is also home to a "party barn" in the middle of the estate, a place that Mike Tindall has spoken about previously.
Peter's sister, Zara Tindall, also lives on Princess Anne's estate. Along with her husband Mike and their three children, Mia, Lena and Lucas, Zara lives in a converted farmhouse called Aston Farm, having previously resided in Cheltenham.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's European home undergoes transformation
While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spend most of their time living on their sprawling estate in Montecito, California, along with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the couple also own a beautiful home in Portugal.
According to MailOnline, Harry and Meghan have enlisted the help of designers from Soho House, the members' club, to lead a design overhaul.
The Portuguese residence was reportedly acquired for a staggering £6.3 million in 2023. While we don't know what type of property it is, they do own a mansion in the US that's been created to look like a French chateau, so perhaps they have been drawn to a more traditional style.
Their choice of designers is particularly special as Soho House is where the couple had their first-ever top-secret date. The pair met on 76 Dean Street in 2016, and since then, they have maintained their relationship with the luxury club.
In 2025, Meghan's brand As Ever collaborated with Soho House and the Duchess called it a "full circle" moment. She wrote online: "Talk about a dull circle moment! In my old stomping ground of West Hollywood, with a brand, family and friends that have been part of my life for so long… also a part of my love story with H (since our very first date was at a SH restaurant)."
Princess Anne's 'softer' side
While Princess Anne is famed for her no-nonsense attitude, the royal softens when it comes to spending time with her grandchildren.
According to Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, Anne breaks this one rule when it comes to her family.
"Anne has a very masculine energy but definitely has a soft side, like Prince Philip did, and she is very proud of Peter and Zara," Ingrid told HELLO!.
"She's always refused to be photographed kissing babies in public, but she’s different with her own grandchildren and she obviously adores them."
This exception was proved back in 2016, when Anne affectionately kissed her granddaughter Mia's cheek as they watched her daughter Zara Tindall play in a Jockeys vs Olympians charity polo match.
Anne is the doting grandmother to her daughter Zara and her husband Mike Tindall's three children Mia, Lena and Lucas, as well as her son Peter Phillip's beloved daughters, Savannah and Isla, whom he shares with his ex-wife Autumn Phillips.
In the 2020 ITV documentary, Anne: The Princess Royal at 70, Peter shared some insight into what his mother is like as a grandmother.
He said: "She loves seeing them ride [horses], she loves having them round for Sunday lunches and taking them for walks. Doing all the things that we would do as kids."
Meghan Markle defended as As ever traffic figures revealed
It's been revealed that the Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle venture, As ever, has drawn just under 400,000 American visitors to its website since the start of the year.
It falls short of the inventory levels of 650,000 product units, which were exposed by a technical error on the site, according to Newsweek. Actual sales figures remain unpublished.
A source with knowledge of As ever told the publication that they anticipated it would "double in size this year. By any measure, for any startup, you can't deny that is anything but a success. People are obsessed with wanting her to fail.
"The commentariat are clouded by their own prejudice and a need to perpetuate a narrative that her business is a failure, because they pegged her that way from the start and they can’t take being wrong."
Meghan founded the brand in 2025, the same year her Netflix programme, With Love, Meghan, was launched.
It comes after Meghan registered 12 trademarks in Australia for As ever, according filings with the Australian Government's intellectual property office filed in September 2024 and approved last year. Could these mean Meghan is planning to expand her brand in Australia?
The filings cover a range of categories, including skincare, candles, gardening, clothes, jewellery, homeware, event planning, podcasts and self-care under the description "fancy".
They also include "gardening trowels, gardening shears, gardening wedding forks" and a "garden tool gift set", as well as "yoga straps" and "pet feeding mats".
Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling tie the knot
In case you missed it, Peter Phillips and his bride Harriet Sperling tied the knot over the weekend in a royal wedding in the Cotswolds on Saturday 6 June.
HELLO! was inside the media pen as Princess Anne's son wed the NHS nurse in what was the first royal wedding since 2020.
The couple said 'I do' in Kemble, a sleepy village located just 17 minutes from Princess Anne's Gatcombe Park estate.
Their official portrait was taken in the Conservatory at Gatcombe Park, Princess Anne's estate, where the reception is believed to have been held.
King Charles and Queen Camilla were among the royals in attendance, alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales, Zara and Mike Tindall. Peter's children Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14, and Harriet's teenage daughter Georgina, who acted as bridesmaids, were also present for the nuptials.
One person who wasn't on the guest list was Prince Harry. A friend close to the newlyweds previously told HELLO!: "Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited."
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, were also absent from the wedding.
