10 FEBRUARY 2010

There must have been a sense of déjà vu for the Duchess of Cornwall this week as she toured an Army base near Salisbury, Wiltshire.

As she stopped to say hello to ten-month-old Oliver Gidlow-Jackson, the cute youngster reached out and gave her nose a tweak.

It was a repeat of the scene that unfolded last summer, when the royal received a playful squeeze from another little baby at an Army barracks in Inverness.

As before, the 62-year-old royal, herself a grandmother of four, took it all in her stride.

She was at Bulford Camp, visiting families of soldiers who are currently serving in Afghanistan with 4th Battalion, The Rifles, of which she is Royal Colonel.

The caring royal is in regular touch with the troops and their loved ones. She is known to often send flowers, letters and whisky to them.
