Set in a dark and futuristic world, the video – directed by Jonas Akerland – sees the Circus star strutting her stuff in a number of sexy scenes.

And her wardrobe, which ranges from ultra-glam to rock chic - is as provocative as ever.

For the Hold It Against Me video, Britney dresses up in tiny shorts, bra tops and sequinned shoulder pads, as well as a custom-made white wedding gown which is covered in neon paint by the time the track comes to an end.

But the real talking point is the 29-year-old's full-on fight sequence with herself, which sees the star, in killer stilettos, square up to her doppelganger in an edgy action segment.

Hold It Against Me is the lead single from the singer's seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, which will be released on March 29.

"I've poured my heart and soul into this album over the last two years. I've put everything I have into it," Britney said in February.

"This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all! Sexy and strong. Dangerous yet mysterious, cool yet confident! FEMME FATALE."

Teen sensation Justin Bieber has already spoken out in support of the songstress. Ahead of the video's official unveiling, he urged his followers to tune in, writing: "My girl @britneyspears vid for Hold It Against Me is premiering thurs night on @mtv…wanna watch it? Watch it!!"
