They faced divorce rumours earlier this year but Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith assured fans there was nothing to worry about as they posed in a new selfie. The couple, who have been married for almost 20 years, upped the romance factor by heading to Dubai for date night.

Standing with the iconic Burj al Arab in the background, Will and Jada leant towards each other for the picture. "Me & Wifey havin' a sexy date night in Dubai," wrote the Focus star on Facebook.

The lovebirds tied the knot in 1997 and have two children together – 17-year-old Jaden and 14-year-old Willow.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have been married for almost 20 years

While their marriage has been the subject of speculation for years, Will and Jada have never been shy about showing their affection for each other and setting the record straight.

Last month for Jada's 44th birthday, the former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star reminisced on how many times he had said "I love you" and how many presents he had bought for his beloved wife.

Posting a throwback picture of the couple from 20 years ago, Will wrote: "I have sung happy birthday to you 20 times and I have bought you 19 birthday presents (I was mad that one year). I have watched you blow out 693 candles (737 after tonite).

"I've told you "I love you" at least 8,285 times. And of the nearly 3.96 Billion women on the planet – there is only 1 that I want to spend the rest of my life with. Happy Birthday, my Love!"

This was taken at your mom's house 20 years ago. That's a long time ago!!! So I decided to do some math... I have sung...

The couple were forced to deny divorce rumours earlier this year

A few days later for Will's 47th birthday, Jada returned the favour and shared the sweetest photo of her husband as a baby.

"I'm not going to pull out the calculator like you did but know this," she wrote. "You have a 100 percent of my heart and the rest of my days... Happy birthday, you exceptional man."

The couple have both vehemently denied a split. In August, Will took to Facebook to state: "Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious). But, so many people have extended me their 'deepest condolences' that I figured – 'What the hell… I can be foolish, too!'" he told his 74 million followers.

"So in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness… Jada and I are… NOT GETTING A DIVORCE !!!!!!!!!!!!! : -)."
