As Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson reigns in a milestone birthday – 50! – he shared with fans an emotional message of gratitude, and though fans were certainly inspired, many were surprised with how he decided to celebrate.

The Rock is known worldwide for his instantly recognizable muscles, and he proved just how committed he is to muscle building, even on days the average person would rather sit back and do nothing.
On his birthday, the star shared one of his most motivational videos yet, and fans couldn't believe where he was filming from.

He revealed that even on his birthday, even after a tiring flight, and even at midnight, he was determined to hit the gym, and that's where he shared his inspiring video from.
"Wrapped my birthday workout at 12:30am," he shockingly revealed, explaining that he was: "Tired but had to get it in and start this new disruptive decade on a positive uptick with strong mana."
"I landed about three, four hours ago, and I came here… and I had to get the big birthday workout in, back and biceps, triple B's, birthday, back and biceps, and it was a [expletive] amazing workout."
The inspiring birthday tribute
He went on to share a heartfelt message of appreciation to fans, expressing: "I cannot thank you enough… All the love and support that you guys have shown me around the world, not only today on my birthday but just overall. I've done a lot of thinking, a lot of introspection, as one would do, on a milestone birthday like this, you think about all the stuff that I've just been a lucky son of a [expletive] to accomplish over the years."

He continued the candid message by acknowledging both the good and the bad, saying that: "I've certainly been thinking about all the things I could have done better, and I will."
The Rock has several massive gyms, called Iron Paradise, across his multiple mansions
The actor clarified though that a workout certainly wasn't the only way he would celebrate, saying that he was definitely going to "break open the mana" referring to his tequila, Teremana.
He concluded his inspiring message thoughtfully, saying: "I love you guys, thank you so much for the birthday love, good night and we'll raise that glass tomorrow."
