Russell's home life
Russell spends much of his time on his ranch in the picturesque village of Nana Glen in New South Wales, Australia.
Reflecting on his property during an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience last year, Russell – who has owned the estate since 1996 – described his home as 'the panacea'.
"It will fix all ill, but you have to give over to its rhythm," said the actor. "You have to wake before the birds. You have to sort of put yourself in a situation where you're going deep into the bush, so you're getting that kind of oxygen," he continued. "You just have to really give yourself over to it."
Russell is currently dating Britney Theriot, a former American actress. While the pair reportedly first met in 2013 on the set of Broken City, they were first romantically linked in 2020, and made their red carpet debut in 2022.
Russell Crowe's sons
Russel shares two sons with his ex-wife Danielle Spencer, whom he married in 2003. They welcomed their eldest child, Charles Spencer Crowe, in December 2003, and their second son, Tennyson Spencer Crowe, in July 2006. They separated six years later in 2012 and ultimately divorced in 2018.
Back in 2016, Russell revealed that following his separation from Danielle, the former couple decided that their sons would live with their mother in Australia. "Our main focus is on our children so they feel safe and secure," he told the Daily Mail, adding that the "family holidays together about once a year".
Russell's comments on fatherhood
The actor previously opened up about fatherhood on the TODAY Show in 2007. "Parenthood is one of the most special things that's ever come up in my life," said the Gladiator actor.
Russell recently shared a touching tribute to his youngest son Tennyson to mark his 20th birthday. Taking to social media in July, the Nuremberg star posted a collection of snaps, including a recent mirror selfie showing the father-son duo flexing their muscles.
"20 years ago today, at 7 minutes to 7am, this amazing young man arrived in our lives. Happy Birthday Tenny," he penned.
In January, Russell expressed his immense pride on social media as his eldest son, Charles, 22, celebrated graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Latin. Sharing a throwback photo of himself with a young Charles, the actor penned: "I'm going to have to build some more storage space to pack away all this fatherly pride. He's a little bit taller these days … and he's got a beard and such … but, same wise before his years fella."
